    The Show has doomed itself

By being way too good. Ha! It's a trick title. The production values are immense, the setting is excellent, the acting is more credible than I could have hoped for, and the cinematography is outstanding.

My fears now head directly to the future of the show. It must be very expensive to make, and if we have learned anything from past cancelled projects that were excellent... It's that in this day and age high budget shows tend to be risky. I loved this Episode, and the next looks great as well. I sincerely hope this hasn't doomed itself by being TOO good

I've always wanted to see Firefly, I just don't want to buy the series.

Some people are complaining about the pilot on IMDB's reviews. I don't see how someone couldn't enjoy that Pilot episode. They had everything a Sci-Fi series could have! I agree too, I hope it doesn't doom itself either.

I couldn't complain about 1 thing. I was really angry when Ghosty the Jackal screwed Nolan out of his winnings, but that's just building his character. This is easily one of the best pilots I've ever seen. It's like it felt comfortable even though it was introducing itself.

I just watched the pilot and recorded it on Sky+ as well, going to watch it weekly then and going to save the whole series and watch it when it's finished in a big marathon.

Oh and did anyone use that Syfy Sync app? That was awesome!

I'm gonna buy this series on Blue-ray if it keeps to this standard.

The CGI could use some serious work; but the story and characters are solid.
