Before you start spouting out this nonsense, maybe you should try the modding system first and see how quickly it drains all Your salvage away in the blink of an eye!

People will deal with it by leaving the game if they decide it's become too grindy. People don't have as much time as they used do 15 years ago when computer games in 3D were new and exciting and grind was considered content, for lack of actual imagination in game design.

Now devs exploit grind as a way of doing less to get more money...because people like you suck up to them and say it's ok.

Games are a service. If we don't get the service we want we go elsewhere. There are a couple likely contenders coming up very soon, so a smart businessman would try to preserve his customer base before it's lost forever.

If they wanted to prevent peole from mindlessly grinding mini events, they could have instead put diminishing Returns on drops when someone decides to grind the same thing.

No instead, just like the all out blanket nerf on loot drops they did two weeks ago, they just all out remove keycodes together and restrict them to CO-OP and Arkfalls only.

and salvage is a pain in the arse!
They made salvaging a frustrating excersise on purpose!
Just like they make buying keycodes at the vendor a frustrating excersise on purpose! (by jumping position after each buy)
They put all these little psychological annoyances in the game, to entice People into buying Lock boxes With "real Money" instead.

These are really typical F2P practices you see in the average crappy F2P game out there. And it's really dissapointing to see TRION doing these lowblow implementations in a B2P game.
the only time ive grinded anything in this game was when i was doing pursuits other than that i just played along the story mission completing the side missions as they came up and occasionally hitting up an arkfall, as i stated i wasnt even trying to get keycodes i just happened to get them, grinding=trying just playing for the sake of playing the game =not really trying

For some. I tend to like to grind no matter what game I'm playing.

Then again, I never got anything good out of the multitude of lockboxes I opened anyway, so it doesn't really bother me all that much.

Funny, I have 5 fully modded guns. Stop modding white and blue crap for simply skill up purposes. Only mod guns you REALLY want to use and you won't waste salvage on pointless ****. Additionally, don't strip lvl1 mods out from every gun you no longer use. I'm at EGO 1.3k or so and I know how expensive it is to add mod slots.

Come back when you have an actual argument.

That is true no real loss on the item front but it gave is somthing to do that was rewarding and in arms reach.

What the hell are you babbling about? what more money? This game doesn't have a sub and no one is forcing you to pay a single dime on the cash shop.

It's not like you get a guaranteed good weapon per lockbox. If that were the case, then I would agree. But the drop chance in Lock boxes is so ridiculously low, it would make the average Las Vegas Casino or any lottery for that matter, proud!

I have opened about 20 T3 Lock boxes so far (and a small number of T2) and only gotten green useless crap (which you can get straight from vendors already /facepalm)!
That is over 480 keys on T3 Lock boxes alone and not a single piece of decent loot!

And that is what pisses me off (and many others) With restricting keys to Arkfalls and CO-OP only now!
They just keep turning this game in a horrible grindfest! Squeezing out the fun more and more.

PS. And to answer Your question more specifically!

Most People don't want to mindlessly grind the same thing over and over!
Before the patch we could get a decent amount of keycodes by just driving around doing various Things! Mini events, arkfalls.... jump into a CO-OP now and then.
You know.... just enjoying and playing the game as a Whole?
Now we are forced into a mindless keygrind via CO-OP and Arkfalls alone.
    +10000 this!!

Tbh, the last couple of days, I've only been logging on, to do one specific daily contract..then logging off again, since there's absolutely no reason to stay in game atm..
