One legendary sniper rifle and i must have opened atleast 10 T3 lock boxes. I think i will just say goodbye to lock boxes now. I have no intention to spend real life cash on this.

I understand if they want to balance things out but this clearly push towards real life money gambling.

That feature is still there. But if you get into modding, you'll need that scrap.

    Crunchyblack,

I'm not a total farmer or anything, but I at least think this should have been addressed. Have loot tables been adjusted? Tell us. I also don't want loot pinatas but the number of lockboxes you need to get right now to get a purple or orange is pretty crazy without the prior method of hitting up emergency events. How many coop hours do you need to play in order to open one box?

Now if there's improved loot chances for those events or arkfalls that would change things, but I think they should give us a heads up so we know how gameplay has changed.

Alternatively...give us auction houses or some sort of player market place, then people wouldn't have to grind lockboxes unless they REALLY want to.

ive bought alot of lock boxes from scrapping loot to arc salvage...lol, i know missions gave the codes but my keycode bread winner was always scrapping crap loot. why sell it for 100 scrip when you can salvage for 250? some even give 500 or 750 salvage. its suprising how fast it adds up. people shouldnt be to arse hurt just yet. im sure it suks (i guess?) but i bet it was faster to get enough keycodes by selling salvage anyway.

A Marketplace/Auction house would certainly help the situation.

I salvaged almost everything until keys were a bit easier to get than scrip and I started running out of cash. Like I said, the modding costs (in salvage) for high end weapons really starts to discourage you from using the salvage for anything else.

Nobody else a little put off by the lack of communicating on this change? Don't get me wrong, the gameplay is actually fun (in pretty deep, ego 1400), but getting loot is a big part of that fun.

Yeah, I hate "stealth" changes in general, especially to already established mechanics. Although, surprise rewards like the T4 box they just gave me in-game was a nice find. Opened up the store to see if there were any new vehicles and saw I had something in my Claimed Items. Took a look and there was a T4 lockbox. Got a nice orange shield out of it.

They didn't mean to take away keys from encounters, it's a glitch.

Actually I wouldn't mind if they made them harder to get, PROVIDED the increase the value of the loot in them at the same time. If say Tier 4 ALWAYS had at least one purple, then they might be worth getting excited about.

Unless I'm misinterpreting this, Sledge very clearly says otherwise.
