Same here. I actively hate it because I usually look to see if somebody is in a clan before I send out a clan invite via text chat.

BUT now even thats impossible ):

You can also go to their name and send clan invite if the option isn't available it means they are already in a clan.

I usually mass search. Like when I am in a town or something. I don't regularly search when I'm in the middle of a combat zone or after a fortress-based mission. People commonly come in and leave very fast and I don't get the chance.

Ok tested it out and that's what they did...They took away everyones names and your name will only appear if you talk on the mic----they should have kept all the names and maybe did someone like the person name would change a different color when they were speaking

I had same problem untill I joined a group then my group mate name was green and all others were blue.

Yeah, this is ridiculous. What a stupid decision. They should have kept the names and just made the color change.

i dont it was to intentionally be the way it is, but i think it was to remove all that cludder that was on screen during arkfalls / PVP
i know it never was really somthing that annoyed me but probably was a performance tweak to help tone down some lag. i beleive it was to have the names hidden until your cross hair targets unlike before were it was just who ever was in front of your screen / and also to function to pop up while speaking. beleive it was one of those weird glitches that popped up after implementing this patch, kinda like how we could target EMC troopers and the mail box... i know some of us tried for hours to kill those crazy strong road side demons... but our efforts were sadly in vain........................
