    How to beat nim (spoilers)

Im tired of people saying nim is op or impossible to beat or whatever so im just going to post a simple strategy to beat him beware there may be some possible spoilers so only read if you are having a hard time or have an alternate way to beat him

First off I play on pc with a keyboard and mouse so my controls might be a little different but moves are the same

I use the default set up with one minor change and that is dodge is set to mouse 3 (center button) alt is just to annoying to be viable

next is my weapon set up: I use a fully auto assault rifle completely modded scope +mag -bloom, a burst works or a smg, id advise against using a lmg since it reduces mobility, my second weapon is a bmg no mods its only used in emergency

as soon as you enter the room make note of the ammo drop spots since you will need them it takes well over 500 bullets to kill nim

first phase is easy he dances around with a blur effect occasionally charging like a hulker, treat him like a hulker and keep your distance unloading your assault rifle in his face type area dodge during his charges and use your bmg if you mess up

second phase is slightly more difficult he spawns six of himself with varying abilities, simply stand on one side of the room and shoot him with your ar his clones fall out after a few shots, occasionally he spawns a bunch of him on the top ledge shoot as many of these guys as possible they will throw swords at you which are dodged easily enough again use your bmg if you fail to dodge to regen your shield after a bit he will down and youll go into third phase

Third phase is a dodge fight He shoots fire balls that will bounce does an aoe slam and spawns explosive pillars at the start of this phase some pillars will spawn keep one of them between you and nim you can use it to dodge his fireballs and ground aoe by hiding behind them easy enough shoot the explosive pillars when they spawn to make them explode leaving you a safe area to stand before nim makes them explode continue shooting him in the face with your ar and using your bmg for mistakes after a bit hell die and you win.

thats pretty much it not a hard fight if you get the dodges down or are quick with a bmg

hope this helps some of you having problems with nim if you have any other tactics let me know or if you want to criticize the way i do it you can tell me that too

I used a BMG, low-time shield and that's all. I never had to dodge once. Almost the entire battle was just pressing A or D (strafe) while holding down my left-click, with an occasional right-click here and there to heal up shields real quick if I lagged.

If you strafe, you will never have to dodge because he'll never hit you except for his missile attack, which with a low-time shield will recharge almost instantly after. And the BMG ensures you're almost always getting DPS on him, with no need for aiming or anything. Even on the clone parts it's ridiculously easy, hold A/D while holding down left mouse-click and you'll automatically do damage to them, .

Edit: I fail, for some reason put A/S as strafe instead of A/D. Derp.

I did it by running around in circles and bunnyhopping.

    same

Did it before patch with BMG for all three phases .
Line of sight him when he emotes then hit him with bmg ,rinse repeat till dead .As long as you are behind an object after his emotes in phase 2 and 3 you will kill him ,phase 1 just roll to the side and dps till the cutscene.

    I can't do it.
I've tried all week.. couldn't do it before the patch, can't do it now.

This is my first shooter MMO.. not that it matters really... i've watched video after video showing people killing this guy, and i can't get him to half health!
What do my skills need to be at to kill this dude?

For me i use overcharge (maxxed)as main nerves of steal for a perk (maxxed) quick reload perk i cant think of the name im not currently on my computer with the game installed so i cant really check the names of the perks, for me those are the most important 2 the other 2 to 3 can be whatever you want, id go with offensive but you can use whatever you want. have your rifle modded similiar to the way i mentioned if you are missing mods you can buy them all where you first meet torq. If aiming with your mouse is the problem id suggest using a controller Ive heard most of them work fine with the game i havent tried it myself. If aiming remains an issue there is a setting (esc hold space click settings) that will give you an assist it doesnt place the reticle directly on the enemy but it does provide a bit of tracking that can help you in a pinch. Be sure youre using overcharge whenever its available. If youre lacking a weapon (assault rifle or bmg) to use the setup ive suggested in the advice feel free to message me in game im usually on between about 2 ish pm pacific time to about 3 am i can provided assistance in procuring the weapon. players name is Mawl (whoda guessed it) and im on the NA server. let me know if you need anymore tips/advice
