how Many PS3 players

I think XBox numbers will be much higher than PS3 and even PC because they have had no MMO experience since Final Fantasy XI, and that launched nearly a decade ago. Besides just DCUO - which I also played - PS3 users had Warhawk, which had been very successful. Then MAG, which also had a pretty decent following, and now Dust 514. Heck, even PS Home is technically an MMO. So I can see them being more excited to embrace a genre they haven't had the fortune of on their system.
As for lack of PS3 players, I wouldn't worry too much about that either. You can't take the numbers that frequent web forums to stand for the reality of what's out there. Most players I know tend to avoid game forums like the plague. Something about trolls and e-thugs, and such....

If the game is good the players will come... and stay. If everyone from Dust 514 doesn't come over to Defiance then they are crazy, cause that game is probably one of the worst shooters I have played in a long time. Even that free to play on the PSN Store was better than Dust.

I'm a PS3 guy all round, played DCUO on it and enjoyed it when it was first released, and I even gave DUST514 a fair trial. This game on the other hand, is a whole new level. It looks amazing.

i havnt logged into my ps3 for agies. besides i dont think its exactly the same as it is here. cant remember. ill let you know when i do log on

Another PS3 player here. I'm one of those NA preorders. I've been interested in this game since it was announced, and have been spreading the word since the more detailed previews started showing up late last year. I've gotten a few people interested, but I'm the only one who preordered as far as I know. I don't know many people who preorder in general.
