XBOX players not familiar with MMO's

I am sure by now you have seen complaining around the forums surrounding the patches and downtime. This isnt uncommon for an MMO in the first 0-3 months of it being launched. I know most of you have the mentality " I bought my game and I want to play it" Trust me I have played MMO's for 14+ years and I still get frustrated. I know its not fun but don't give up on the game just yet. Give it at least another month to two before you return the game.

Unfortunately for the xbox version the game wasn't able to be tested properly because of microsofts certification process. The beta wasnt quite what it should have been. I was a beta tester on xbox and pc and they were very different in the process. Unfortunately there isnt much helping there.

But now the game is live and they still need bug reports sent in so make sure you are always sharing your thoughts in an informative manner. There is nothing wrong with complaining just make sure there is a bit of substance to it. Just try to stick with it a little while. Happy Ark hunting mates!

So far I've made one bug report. The support people e-mailed me to make sure it was corrected and if I had any other questions. Not had any real problems since. oohh they did say I would receive a survey to fill out but haven't received anything yet.

I've played MMO's on my PC. But now one is finally out for consoles that catches my attention. So I got it and was surprised that I wasn't having any problems. Then my 3rd day of Defiance came up which was a Sunday and started having issues and my simple and yet not surprised was "There you are I was looking for you". I don't know if this will keep happening with future MMO's but I've played my fair share to know this was expected.

Well majority console players don't play much PC games so don't have the PC mentality . It isn't just PC mmo's it's all PC games . I have never seen a PC game that works right out of the box. You always get the I have a PC that NASA would be proud of but the game runs at 2 fps on ultra wtf on forums just after launch.

Console players are used to the whack in the game and play. It's a selling point for consoles , so when that doesn't work they vent.

i don't believe i have ever seen the console players mind set better worded. kudos for that.

Yh I'm a mostly console player and get annoyed at games like FIFA or CoD when they don't work but I have also played enough PC games in my time (mostly total war) to know MMO's like this one take time to tweak.

Its the tale of two devils really, Console kids whine when the game doesn't work off the bat (Not all mind you just idiots) and PC players (Again idiots, not majority) whine that the game is not tailor made to there every whim even when the game was being designed for consoles in the first place. Cant win!
