Please allow us to download the beta client sooner rather than later.

I can't speak for everyone else, but with the maximum DSL download speed available to me on my current plan, it takes me about 2 hours to download a gig. Since the client is about 15(?) GB, that's roughly a 30 hour download for me. Yes, I know, that's stupid-slow.

On top of that, I can only set aside ~6 hours a day for dedicated downloading and tying up all the available bandwith. So, I'm looking at around 5 days of scattered downloading time, with a PC beta that starts in 7 days. And I'm sure there will be some large last minute patch to download regardless.

I'm not asking for you to let us into beta early, just to let us get the client downloaded early and not drop the instructions+patcher on us at the last minute (or even last few days). I realize most people can probably download the entire thing in a matter of hours, but some of us just have slower DSL plans and could use a little extra lead time here.

Well considering they did it with both the last beta's I don't see why they won't this time. Once you get your email that your accepted you can download the client right away.

How much time was available between the client becoming available for download and the previous betas?

I received and entered my pre-order code some days back, but haven't heard anything beyond that and am assuming that no one (outside alpha testers) is currently able to download the client yet. Is that not true?

To answer my own question, it seems this beta phase we're getting access to download the client the evening before the test.

Any chance the download can be made available sooner? My internet speeds are the slow.

Doesn't sound like it... sounds like we have to wait for an email the day before and then attempt to download it. But hey, on the plus side, a lot of the console users already have their clients installed and ready to go. Even on 360, which their beta doesn't start for another 3 days. I keep seeing people posting that they're looking at the actual start/login screen just waiting to go. *facepalm*

I believe it was stated you get invited the day before. However, if you were already in a previous beta, you can download the client and get it updated and ready to go. I'm sure it's a long process, but they will invite you nonetheless before it starts.

For the last beta is was about 10 gigs for me. So i'm guessing this one will be about 11-12 gigs.
And 15 down is not crappy most people where I live get 1.5 our max consumer internet here in MT is 30 down

Would be nice to have a official Torrent to help mitigate the bandwidth surge come beta and launch day. Size wise for PC I would assume it will be around the 14-15GB size for the initial total install and patch up based on my previous MMO experience.
