bye let the door hit you on your way out.
I understand his sentiment and honestly the attitude of "ok bye we are better off without you" is completely the wrong point of view. People are leaving this game that's a fact and every person who leaves is less support for this game, games have been shut down for a lack of interest and the die hard few will not keep this game running. Also keep in mind people leaving the game may also be leaving the show and if defiance doesn't maintain ratings you can say goodbye to that as well.
Everyone in my clan is very unhappy right now not because of the bugs, that we understand but there is definitely a lack of content. Considering the news of the first DLC being delayed several weeks people are seeing a lack of reason to continue playing.
For every person who leaves the game Trion loses potential revenue and Syfy loses a potential viewer. I myself have spent $60 on the game and another $60 so far on bits and have had every intention of buying more in the near future, several clan mates have similarly invested as much if not more than myself.
Before you decide to easily say goodbye to someone you should keep in mind that the next person to say goodbye could be myself or someone else who has spent money and intend to spend more and if you have spent nothing more than the box so far then you should really keep quiet as you may be helping push out the door a person who is paying for your future gameplay.
First, I read the wall of text you had the patience to post. I understand your perspective. Though in the future quality > quantity.
Second, since when is it the role of the consumer to be responsible for other consumers. Trion and its developer teams, hold that responsibility. Trion already got his $60 dollars, so they came out ahead.
This is a F2P game which survives off a cash shop, people who use the cash shop are paying for future content, people who only purchased the box have paid for the startup costs. SO the only way a game like this can survive and grow is by cash shop purchases until enough boxes have been bought to pay for making the game in the first place, its basic accounting.
I also feel everyone is worth keeping around, the less people around the less reason for the game to exist as the game cant exist without the players wanting to play it. If players aren't playing it trion isn't making money and they will shut down the servers.
Say what you want about exodus posts but each one hurts the game.
