So, post patch we see keycodes taken out of these emergencies, and they add fewer to harder places to grind. Even in the best spots and only popping in the end of major arkfalls you could max out keys every two hours on a serious grind. And with loot being reduced in these lockboxes, you really can't get anything worth grinding for anymore. So either pay cash money for dem lockboxes, or grind for hours on end to get the keycodes. And if you want decent outfits they're going to make you pay over 10 bucks per outfit. So much for micro-transactions. Nothing micro about that. And then they didn't even patch the outfit that you pay for in the collector's edition? Holy mother of all that is evil. Patching the game so people pay you more money. That is ultimately the tactic here. Greedy. Got green thumbs and not the kind for gardening.

The key fiasco is going to bite them in the ***....one thing defiance had going for it was the key grind.....now that's gone, so is their player base soon enough. I'm sure glad I haven't bought my season pass yet. They really screwed this patch up.

The only thing i can comment on from your post is the price of outfits, and while i do agree that $10 for an outfit isnt exactly a "micro" transaction , i still fail to see why people would complain. Its an optional feature and laughable when i first saw it, sure if the outfit gave you an actual benefit in game they would be worth it but they are for aesthetic reasons only and when i see others or hear friends who pay for them it makes me smile out of pity. If you buy them you deserve to feel like someone stole from your wallet tbh...
I would never pay real cash for an item that just makes you look different to others, id rather use that money on food/petrol/rent/real life objects.Just like those who spend hundreds of £££ on fifa points to get football players... but then ***** when they dont get the ones they wanted ... but will still spend more money.

Finally after all said and done Trion is a business, they want to make money so if putting high priced items which do nothing, to catch those gullible people or kids with parents credit cards, makes them money ...power to them.

You know you can still easily farm keycodes by just salvaging the weapons that drop from mobs in those emergencies and buy keycodes for 1k, right? Thats 4 random white or 2 random green drops that you would just NPC anyway. Salvage them, buy keycodes, buy lockboxes. Very simple.

Yeah, I know. But at my level, I'd need to grind to even put on any weapon mod slots. And it seems like ANY weapon I get lately, has none open standard. So a double resource grind?

I agree, i'm only doing co-op's now.
If you play with good people you know then you can do some of the missions fast, such as explosions 101, or Island of lost soldier's.
