I think because he knows that someone else would be acting in his place... so as an actor it would be annoying but as a player it would be neat.

I don't think its an option for them to openly consider getting the player to play the role. I mean.. we are playing a pretty specific set of characters with certain specific characteristics ( amongst which being an adult is one, being fit as well. ) Takes a lot of work to be able to make it as an actor, and it would be kind of stupid for them to just say 'eh we'll get the winner to play their char ' when they have -no- idea what they'll end up with.
