Watching the show last night and reading through the forums about some people's disappointment with the lack of inter-connectivity between the show and the game... although it's early days I think the writers for both the game and show missed out on one huge thing.
Having Nolan or Irisa give the player a nickname! It's impossible to to have the TV show name every player who plays the game in the show, so why the heck not use a nickname which would apply to all players?
You look at how Bioware dealt with various names people would name their game characters in their recent Dragonage game by giving the player a title, and within those games all the audio dialogue that references the player does do so by the player's name (which could be absolutely anything), they use that title instead, be it Champion of Kirkwall or the Warden.
The thing is when we create our characters with have names that we give ourselves to our avatars, but nicknames are often given by others as a sign of affection or even distaste. It's a bit late for Nolan or Irisa to give the player a nickname now.
But for a future character that may appear in game first but in the show later, a nickname should be given by that character to the player in any future episode mission within the game. This nickname could eventually be introduced into the show. It may simply pop up in conversation in the show, and Nolan or Irisa may query who that is, and some form of dialogue will form establishing this nickname within the TV show as the player from the game.
If they are really that keen on making a player feel their actions in game influence the show, this is only a logicial way to deal with the huge possibility of player names with just one simple nickname or even title.
Heck it could be as simple as Nim's Nemesis or similar in translated some alien language in the game/TV!
