    Hotshot: Bolinas Sniper

I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU... i hate you...

so I'm going for gold on all the time trials and hotshots and such... and here I am at Bolinas racking up a good X multi, and then some jerk decides he wants to hide behind a building for 10 minutes... not able to get a good shot anywhere... sooo annoying... happens to me every time i break a 10x multi now... like they suddenly realized cover lets them live longer while upsetting me... I WANT MY FISH IN A BARREL!!! :-(

AND to top it all off, you have to aim at the base of the head or it does not count as a hit OR if it does sometimes it doesnt count as a head shot... shooting the little jerks in there glowing jerk eyes and it going through them... stream of smoke through the head and not a hit... or they just stagger back with a little health still left because its acting like i shot them in the chest... did i mention i hate this one... lol

Weird, never had any issues with Bolinas. Done it four times because I happened to drive by and it's fun.

i don't really like sniper rifles in this game, don't know if they are supposed to be like that but i kinda expect that if i have the red dot on something, then i will hit it... but here it just seems random, so getting headshots is a bit strange compared to what i am used to, this is just not precise enough...almost that you might as well use light machine guns with scopes and avoid triggering full auto, it's quicker taking out npc's at a distance that way than having to guess whether the read dot placed on a head means a headshot or not.. also don't like that you can't really be that far away because then the npc's wont show, i don't like that they can see through walls and know where you are even when the last place they saw you were somewhere else.. just makes the whole sniper/stealth approach much less satisfying... i kinda expected the AI to be better in a 2013 game.

Wow I thought shooting chicken with a pistol was bad.... After trying this one I don't even want to do anymore hotshot challenges. The game is pretty cheap with headshots. Either make it a one shot kill from the neck up or fix the accuracy with sniper rifles. Idk how you can keep your multiplier up high enough when they hide behind things. I wonder though if your EGO perks have an effect in challenges, like +5% dmg to enemies from behind or increased dmg to enemies that are below you.

you guys do know you have to lead your targets when they move correct. its a bit like sniping in battlefield 3, just no bullet drop physics. also wait for them to stop in front of the guys your protecting. they stop and taunt for 1-2 sec, plenty of time to blow their heads off.

No it's not leading the target that's the issue it's the fact when you fire dead on their head the bullet goes right through 80% of the time when it should never happen. The dot in your sights turn red so you know you can't be out of range yet they don't get hit. This happens to me all the time while in the open world because I can see the bullet hole/mark right behind their head. As the OP said you have to aim for their neck or base of the head which doesn't make sense for the devs to allow.

I know what you mean. I think the people that have responded otherwise they probably have not used a sniper rifle yet after the patch - because I notice this weird behaviour on AFTER the patch (before that I can easily get mobs by shooting top of the head). I use sniper rifle all the time so I noticed this right away after the patch.

I think this patch might have messed up either the hit boxes or the scope in the game. I notice that the Commando Scope for lmg/AR/smg was also messed up (scope in, no crosshairs).

Uhm, unless they changed it drastically, you only need bodyshots on 90% of the mobs in Bolinas, due to the overpowered rifle you get to use. And there is hardly any rush, if you are uncomfortable leading targets slightly, just wait for them to stop before drilling them.

Also, sniper rifles are DEAD ON accurate for me. As in, no bullet drop, I hit everything I aim for all the time unless I myself click before the dot is where it should be. The accuracy for every sniper rifle is, after all, 100.

Anyone having issues (on a PC) is obviously having a latency issue, and that's nothing to do with sniper rifles. Consoles, no idea.
