I personally dislike the season pass trend. I do not like paying money in advance and not knowing exactly what I am getting in return. Think the practice is very anti-consumer.

I will wait to see exactly what the DLC contains, and if I think it's worth purchasing, then I might buy the season pass or I may just buy them individually depending on their perceived value. Keep in mind, not all the DLC may be worth the money, but you end up paying for them anyway with a season's pass.

    So did I.

I was going to wait and see what's included in the first DLC, but that GMG deal was just too good to pass up!

I want to see the game keep going as it is by far the most unique console game to come out. I get to run around a large open world with my friends, in a world larger then the one in red dead with a ton more things to do. Complete the story with friends or solo. Its not a grind fest because the lateral progression system when the only thing that gets better are the weapons innate bonuses. No need to grind gear if you really dont want to. Your not forced to to see the end game like ever other mmo. You want to see the content your paying for better plan to invest countless hours grinding to get it done.

I've bought outfits and inventory space as the lock boxes are rather pointless to buy. The weapon ya can get out of them aren't worth the money required.

If you dont want to see the game stop being supported or for the game company try to increase the revenue and it truely become a pay to win where you get one hitter quiter weapon out the store for 30$ then pony up 5$ from time to time.

Season passes for a game like this gives the company a good idea of how much time and $$ they can put into the game.

Same people in this thread saying im not paying for this or that or im not buying an outfit are the same people who will be on the forums whining about lack of content in dlc and updates you want Trion to show support for the game you as the fan/consumer have to give them a reason to do so. You show no support it will be reflected in how much content will be developed for this game.

No company will throw money down the drain on a game where the fan base doesn't support it.
Won't buy a dlc season pass for an mmo, but you throw 50$ at cod for a handfull of maps you'll be sick of in a month....then whine about lack of support or content.
I have no problem opening my wallet if I feel like I am getting my money's worth. What I have a problem with is being asked to invest in the game and having no clue as to what I am getting in return for my investment. 5 DLC's? What exactly is in the DLC's? Is it a mini-expansion? Is it just some clothing and a couple side missions? Who knows....

I just think it's foolish to blindly throw money at a company and hope for the best.

Im going to hold off on buying the DLC's till we know whats in them first. Iv already spent over 100 on the digital collectors so that's support enough for the game right now for me. Like if it contained a really cool and i mean REALLY cool race skin and some other awesome meat content in the DLCs than ill gladly put in money but if its just going to have little things than ill just hold off for now. As fare as the lockbox tiers i have not invested a single penny physically on them yet i just go around and earn the keys like a majority of other ppl do but it took over i think 8 to 10 tier 4s for me to get my first orange which was an infector and im not complaining on the weapon it actually has some good synergy moods to it.

Not getting the seasons pass for now. Im very skeptical at this point given how things have unfolded before release, after, and now. I feel the money could be better spent on another product or such at this point. If my thoughts on the matter change for the better, then I'll consider it.

I do hope they make each and every dlc worth the money else it's cheaper to just pick the 4 good ones (if there is 4 good ones...) out the 5 as the season pass costs the same as buying 4 of the 5 dlc...
Or you could buy it from Greenman gaming for $28

Literally not a single piece of gear hes gotten from playing the actual games. He is only Ego lvl 260 and places tops in the scoreboard in every arkfall, co-op mission and pvp match. So please dont come in here spouting that this game is not pay to win when it so obviously is. Too bad your rampant fanboism is preventing you from seeing it. ANY game that sells LOOT for real life money is PAY TO WIN no matter how cleverly they try to disguise it (cough LOCKBOXES cough)
Mr Angry man, calm the hell down and read this:
    • My mate has had two orange items from lock boxes without spending any money on bits.
    • I haven't had any orange items from lock boxes but regularly finish in the top five of arkfalls... I've come top about 5 or 6 times.
    • Another mate got an orange item the other day from "earned" keycodes and he's level 200ish
    • I've only played one PvP match; Team Deathmatch. I got an "above average" medal. Again, I haven't paid an additional penny (additional to the cost of the game itself)

Stick that in your angry pipe and smoke it. What has made me so angry is children like you spouting your unfounded information all over the place just because............. I'm not going there. You asked Erei if he's ignorant or blind.... the proverbial pot and kettle immediately spring to mind.

My suggestion to you, young kiddo would be to sell your copy of Defiance, get off this forum and stick to Call of Duty where you can camp and level up to get your gold sniper rifle.

If they continue doing GIANT patches that are out of my bandwidth like this one for the dlcs then I'd hold on to my $60 now.

And no, I can't get a better internet than the crap I am using now.
