Because I paid them NOW. So I expect a finished product NOW. This game will fail but hopefully will be the example that future developers will follow as what not to do. Sad too, really wanted this game to be worth a dam.
Except for the episode missions he'll miss out on cause ya know those get deleted apparently.
Finished product? A MMO is NEVER finished, there will ALWAYS be updates, patch, fixes, bug, bug-fixing, and so on.... You can login and play, except the time when servers are under maintenaince. Is Defiance your first MMO?

This will keep happening because nowadays, most gamers have no patience. Some people were stupid enough to buy The War Z after reading the terrible reviews it got. How on earth does someone read an article so negative about a game and say "I must get this game! I don't care if it sucks, it has zombies!"? I have no idea.
So many swear "I'll never buy anything from this company again" yet, you see them buying another game from the same company soon after. In another game, a friend got pissed off because he spent $90 USD trying to get something good out of a random loot box and he said he was done with the game. You know what he did? He spent another $100.
People talk with their money, it doesn't really make sense when people say "This game sucks, Defiance is such a disappointment, worst mmorpg I've ever played" and at the same time they've pre-ordered the deluxe edition, season pass and thousands of bits in their account. Why spend so much money on something you don't know if you're gonna like? Beats me!
This is why companies do what they do, people are gonna pay anyway, they can't restrain themselves specially if pre-ordering means exclusive items.
Companies know gamers better than they know themselves.
If this is as interesting as they get then I can't say he'll be missing much, but I think they're treating this as they do holiday events in other games. Do you get upset if you can't have a special Jack-O-Latern helmet if you weren't here for Halloween 2013? I wouldn't. Same goes for not early adopting, I guess there are some perks.

Dear COD player, Welcome to MMO'S, an MMO is never finished on launch basic reason is because MMO's have far more depth in coding, interface and such then as a normal single player game or even a single multiplayer game.
I never expect a finished game with MMO's, i always expect a smooth launch and working servers and thats something they did manage to do for at least 90% of the ppl, bugs and glitches wil fix itself and this game is no where near the end of his lifetime yet.
A curiosity and simple question to all the ragers, what does raging,screaming insult and hating Trion accomplish? You think that by filling the forum with these rubbish, Trion will fix issues faster? How old are you, 12??
