The OP is both right and wrong.

Yes there are bugs / issues, but then that is fairly typical for MMOs, I don't know why he expects Trion to be any different, they are already doing the thing that I think they do better than many other game companies which is multiple and fast patches (compare it to Anet with GW2).

However whilst singling Trion out is rather unfair, the industry as a whole is pretty poor in this respect, nor are MMOs any more complicated than many products in other industries, yet companies do a far, far better job of quality control / finshing the product in many other industries.

I know but I hold Trion to a much higher standard after playing rift with them and how smooth and awesome that launch was. I played rift 18 hours a day for the first week and only ran into bugs end game since we could not beta test that since max level cap in beta was 50.

I just expect so much more from them because of the launch with rift, which also makes me think, the people who hold the bank account for defiance rushed out the game way before it was ready so it would co-inside with the series launch.

I was there for its launch and it was not a smooth run. There were issues there as well. But you are doing an 'apples to oranges' comparison. I have yet to have any bugs or glitches since release of Defiance. I had a group of my son's friends over the day after release to watch me play through the starter area and basically up to getting the first ATV. Then I just drove around running over enemies for laughs. Not one weapon, enemy, or vehicle glitch did I encounter. They all loved it but were torn between getting it on PC, which I play, or XBox, which they all play with my son.
I have seen roughly 2 dozen posts of this variety. And yes there are people out there that will have problems, because this game was made for the masses NOT the individual. I say this meaning everyone's 'rig' (PC) is almost as unique as they themselves and it would be nearly impossible for TRION to have identified everone's PC interaction with the game code. If you had done Beta then maybe you would have seen a bug/glitch and could have filed on it. (Now I know people who did this and are still running into problems - but as Trion has posted they are working through them...)
I have been through the Launch of every major MMO (and some minors) since 1999 and doesn't matter who the company is and how many games they have out already. Each new one is an entity on its own and cannot be held to standards. Because we scream for something different we cannot cry that it doesn't work just right when they deliver it.

So, I setup a stream to show all these people how awesome defiance is and to get them to play it and...

Nothing but issues so far...Characters not being able to pass character starting zone, co-op pursuits not working, glitching out, events not happening, ammo and items vanishing. Chat not working, or at least when it wants to work briefly.

Was this game alpha tested at all? A majority of these bugs happen so frequent and often how could they get out of beta?

All I can say is not one of the 50 people watching me play tonight are going to purchase the game due to all these issue, and sadly it makes me not want to stream it and play it even less.

I hope you guys can get it together and work these bugs out so we can attract more players or I fear this game will not last long at all.

Not that it matters but I am a PC player.

I haven't noticed any bugs so far, other than having to redo two short main quests.

i alwso question why the **** OP is streaming just to sell a game to "50 people". the cancer that is totalbiscuit's paid promotional streams is spreading.

i also like the plug downthread by OP for ff14. teh utterly generic wow clone attempt to salvage the biggest turd of an mmo in recent memory. nobody ****ing cares about ff14 and you're not convincing anyone to give it a chance.

A curiosity and simple question to all the ragers, what does raging,screaming insult and hating Trion accomplish? You think that by filling the forum with these rubbish, Trion will fix issues faster? How old are you, 12??

"Grown up rant" doesnt know difference between siv and sieve, or even what "losing" money means.

I am enjoying the game, even with all it's bugs and server issues. Paid $60 for D3 and SC2, and this beats the holy hell out of both of them.

I have to agree with you there. I played several Rift Betas and was with Rift since the beginning. It was a fabulous launch. If there were bugs that affected players they were few and far between and certainly didn't affect play mechanics. The quality of the release was extremely high at launch.

Defiance seems rushed. It feels like the emphasis was to just get the content in and we'll fix it all later and now its a panic to get it all fixed (Never time to do it right the first time) and its just making it worse, not better.
