Wont let me access the load out menu

When i press the start button to access the menu in the load out screen it wont let me do anything, like change weapons, shields, i can not even move the cursor over any of the selections. even in game it wont let me switch weapons. I think this started to happen when i bought a special pistol from a vendor. I am on xbox 360.

Any help would be much appreciated . Also I have restarted the game a couple of times and its still happening.

I am having the same issue. My char is also not able to melee. The only thing I can do is run people over and throw grenades

I found a solution in another thread . Go into a co op match and when you come across a piece of loot hover over it and hold X so you equip it , then everything should be back to normal.
