As a gamer, PS3 owner or not, Im happy my fellow gamers on the 360 are getting a MMO finally. Its long overdue for you guys. While this may not be the "tradtional" MMO type of game,( still unknown if there is a end game grind for constant better gear over and over, but thats honestly THE fun part, we will see) But, its a step in the right direction. Welcome aboard 360 gamers!

Believe it or not, even as a Ps3 gamer, when I heard of DC Universe Online coming to consoles,I got excited as ALL "console only" gamers should be able to experience a true MMO. But when I heard Sony was the development studio behind it, it upset me because I knew the 360 guys were going to be left out. At the end of the day, we're all gamers, who's console is better is a tired and lame argument.

We ALL have the right to good games, it sucks there are still "exclusives" yeah yeah so you market it as "only on this or that console" but get over it, let gamers enjoy the game, Put God of war and infamous on 360, Put Halo and Gear of war on PS3, and do what your company is supposed to do, MAKE as MANY profits as you can. And allow each "exclusive" game to be enjoyed by everyone.

To the 2 guys above,, See thats my point it SUCKS just becasue you're 360 gamers, you got to miss out on a INCREDIBLE MMO on a console. And to make it MORE of a insult to 360 gamers, DCUO is now 100% TOTALLY free, just download it and play! Yes there is a subscription for DLC for end game content( just like this game) But still. Yeah its install size alone is near 20 gigs,( not counting the patches and updates) so what? Thats what HDD's are for lol. I honestly wish this or a future game allows for cross platform, and BOTh companies is full of crap by saying they "dont allow it". Shadowgate allowed cross play with Pc on 360, and PS3 has a few obsucre ones that allow, think the dlc game skullgirls is one of those titles to play alongside Pc as well.

Either way, sucks we as gamers are forced to miss out on a game totally, or pay for another entire console. That is something that needs to go ASAP. Id HAPPILY play DCUO or Defiance with my fellow 360 gamers. But sadly, it wont happen, even though it WOULD make alot of extra cash for each company.

I've fully paid off the Ultimate Collector's Edition, and plan on enjoying this game for years to come. But those textures are not very good at all, and blurry at times.

I've been playing MMO's for several years now,(WoW,DCUO,CoH) and this ISNT normal. And a console CAN run a MMO just fine, my P3 has no issues graphicaly at all with DCUO for 2+years now.Even with near 100 people in a all out PVP war in the streets of Gotham( using various powersets like fire, ice, nature, Green and yellow lanterns, etc etc). As I said originaly this is still beta/alpha, etc. And a final polish will be added.

Im sure we have nothing to worry about. And all of these issues could very well be due to the streams video compression causing pixelation. Either way, Im going to play it every chance I get away from work or when the wifes sleeping lol. See you guys in game. MAN I just realised the beta for PS3 goes live the same day and rough time I will be getting my Walking Dead:Survival instincts game.. lol. For a fan of TWD franchise for the past 10 years( and owner of 102 of the 106+ issues) this game is a big deal for me lol.
Sorry to point this out bro, but you misspelled your handle. I refuse to take you seriously.

Wow, you have been failing hard for too long bro. It is never too late to correct your mistakes.

I'll take the original offer, had DC on PC and got it on ps3 when it went F2P and i wouldn't waste the DL time if they put it on 360.Its so limited that you still need to sub' to enjoy it and even then most of your playtime is spent LFGing in the hubs. Also,if you like playing around with char' builds you wont get a group at all.Trust me we are not missing much not having it on 360.

Infact, swap GoW for ratchet,i wouldn't miss GoW to much (even if i am playing GoW:A as i type this ).
    Happy Hunting!

I've been "falling to long" ? Wtf are you on? You dont know me and thankfully, I dont have the dis-pleasure of knowing you. I dont see how I spell my character's name is ANY of your business? I bet you launched a world wide boycott of the games Syndicate and Syndicate Wars huh?

I spell it that way due to playing as a Villain in DCUO and playing as a fire based toon, get it now? Synder, AKA Cinder, the fire character from my favorite fighting game..Killer Instinct. You know both have flames, fire.. oh never mind, the troll isnt worth it. Wont bother replying to "it" again.

And to the guy above saying DCUO needs a sub to fully enjoy the game, yes that is certainly true, but all MMOs are this way, pay a lil more, get access to items, expansions, etc. Even Defiance has a season pass, that if you DONT have it ,100% of the gear and loot you get from any of the coming DLC's will NOT be able to be used untill you have paid for the content. This is in the FAQ section on this site. Everyone has "access" and can play it( unlike other mmo's) to the DLC, but unless you pay, you cant use anything it gives as loot.

Anyone that thought otherwise is incorrect. We cant seriously expect them to keep giving everything away, that they themselves have to pay a team to create for the next year. Just nature of business in general. No company will continue to pay for a product and 100% give it away. They did say there will be "free" dlc for both paying and non subscribers as well though, but it wont be nearly the same as paid dlc , obviously.

    Directly from the FAQ section:

    Expansions:

    Q. Will there be expansions/new content for the game?
    A. Yes. Definitely new areas, which players will definitely be able to take advantage of who haven't paid as far as playing them because they don't wish to separate the player base, however you will not be able to use the things you get/earn from the new content unless you have paid for the content. Not splitting up the player base was a goal they wanted to have not happen. What makes these games important is the social experience. TLDR; There will be both paid and free content in the future.
