Until working on the area pursuits and managing to get golds in all the time trials. This had to be the most annoying and difficult part ever. My last race in San Fran kept getting dark matter road blocks that caused me to have to slow down or gates not counting. After what must have been 80+ attempts I finally managed to get the last gold trial I needed.

I too have just managed this and agree, the wasteland time trials were the toughest, I had many roadblocks to work around, even had the start of one, cant remember the name, it was the last one, southern most TT. The start was in the middle of a scrapper instance, so that was fun. But I can finally say I have done it.

Yeah I've only gotten one gold so far (haven't really gone for them)

Some I would say that you need to have a level 20 runner to do, like the Tranquility Sprint. In a flawless run I could pull 38 seconds but not the 37 that is needed for gold.

Around level 6-8 Runner is enough to finish all of the gold trails

Conserve your boost, while using often, if you don't have any boost-filling gates

If your going up a ramp/elevated surface, use your boost, but let go if your flying in the air, and then boost for a short time when you land, in order to pick up your speed. Again, conserve some boost for whatever mistakes you may make. I tend not to boost around sharp turns, because I usually lose control of my runner and miss a gate. Also, don't use the B button at all, you lose way too much speed. You can use LT, if needed. It helps if you can practice turning on the sharp turns around Defiance, while going at full speed, if you need help on those situations.

If theres roadblocks/etc, its best to clear those.. Or, if you think you have enough time, you can try to go through it, or around it.

Only reason i got the last Trial in SF (The first one you see passing the Golden Gate) was because the game lagged or whatever and caused the Dark Matter camp to not spawn in, so i just blew past it at full speed XD
