...the changes to emergency events not giving keys and reduced rewards if I felt there was a chance to get better items through drops.

But as it stands now, the only way to obtain epics and legendaries is through lockboxes, I havn't seen a single one drop from mobs or events and I am now 1300 EGO-Rating, thats saying something about drop chance. Even co-op's dont feel worth the time once youve done all the achievements for them, because even those dont provide any better of a chance.

6% chance from Tier 3 Boxes I could live with, because I could acrue keys at a reasonable rate, I will admit it was a little high, and would have even advocated reduced reward down to 2 keys per event, or even 1 Key.

But Trion has effectively made what little content they had worthless to do, which isn't going to foster much of a community or sense of achievement to players.

People will log in and do nothing but Cloak-Boom in PvP until they see a Major Arkfall, at which point everyone will zerg it and trivialize the event by shee weight of numbers.

I can understand they want to drive people to purchase boxes through the cash-shop, as is their right as a company to do, but is there no one smart enough in their ranks to realize this will do nothing except drive people away from their game in the long run?

completely agree, spent most of the bits i got on pre-order on this, bought about 100$ worth more in points and bought lockboxes with them too, im left at 950 ego rating with about 4-5 purple guns and not a single orange

this system as it stands is utterly useless and i wont be investing anymore money either, i thought ya know after spending $162.00 on the game itself from the ultimate edition and then another 100 id get at least one orange but nope

o and those purple guns i got, they were bought with the keys i accumulated throught my lvling, not even from those cash shop boxes, so bleh trion really mucked this one up

At launch, I bought quite a few boxes, just to see what sort of rewards they offered, but after being stung with constant greens and the occasional blue, I stopped buying them. I'm not much of a gambler, and I wasnt going to fall into that trap again anytime soon. I was however quite happy to spend my money on cosmetic items, I just wish they had a larger selection to choose from.

And I havnt noticed a significant influx of items since they gave us the free boost earlier in the week, so thanks for the freebie Trion, it gave me a chance to see even those arent worth buying.

What are you talking about? This game is almost perfect, especially for a new release in 2012, maybe a minor patch or two and we'll be set for life.

Yeah rofl! the boosts are so little, they aren't Worth it either. Saving you 5 minutes on the hour getting XP... Whoop di doo! lol.

Nahh... since yesterdays patch I have ZERO motivation anymore to log into the game. It has just become a combination of a terrible grindfest + Lottery gambling.

If I wanted that, I can go play the run of the mill F2P games out there without having to pay 60 bucks upfront for the Box + extra for DLC!

the gameplay and most of the mechanics are yes ill agree, but the lockbox drop ratio especially for people who pay good money is really.... well just plain garbage

Yeah, Im sure my post will just be brushed off as another whinger looking for attention, which is typical of forums anyway.

I just wanted to express my feelings, while looking at the changes logically.

It really is a shame when good games like this go the way of the dodo because of poor decisions passed through the corporate ladder.
