During the "Across the Badlands" post-Defiance show, Sledgehammer stated the new content (pursuits) that have been released in honor of Armistice Day must be completed before the next episode airs on April 22nd, because after that it'll be gone.
I'm sorry, but that's ridiculous (and no offense to Sledgehammer, as he's just the messenger). I went along with completing the prequel episode missions because they were all in areas that could be reached (although quite a bit further across the map than I had progressed via the main story, which was annoying in itself for my style of play). But these new pursuits have content all the way out in San Francisco.
Am I correct in my understanding that players can't access San Francisco until they progress past a particular point in the main story line (because a giant robot blocks the bridge)? My friends and I are only at the point in the Main Story where we've just finished Tranquility and have been sent to the Iron Demon Ranch.. far from gaining access to SF.
It is really frustrating to be offered timed content that is literally beyond the reach of players, especially when these game-to-show "tie ins" are supposed to be such a major element of this concept. Why are you forcing players to race through the main story line, *especially* when your game really doesn't offer all that much entertaining end-game content beyond PvP and achievement pursuits?
There should be no timed content placed in areas that are gated by progression. We're two weeks into the game and you're acting like everyone should have had enough spare time (and few enough problems/bugs and server downtime) to have gained access to San Francisco at this point. That's insane. I don't understand what you're thinking here.
