Dissapointed....

Ye... so i was soo hyped for this game just like most... but right now at an ego rating of 1100 i have many regrets about this game. Why even level your ego.... The guns don't do anymore damage they do however give useless skills. Some of the pursuits in the game make you work pretty hard for something everyone else can just buy but just a different color.... (Black Challenger). There are only a hand full of skills that are even worth using. Legendary guns are about as worthless as a common weapon... i would know because i myself had 3.... 2 shotguns 1 assault rifle, and my friend had 1 which was a magnum which was useless. Multiplayer server which include co-op maps as well competitive play have been glitched since this game has came out which makes me sad because that is why i bought this game in the first place. I also dont see why there are so many contracts the have to deal with Capture and Hold matches when its not even in the game. The only thing that keeps me playing the game is probably the persuits that give you outfits but even that is growing thin because there arent that many of them and at that most are just copies of others just a different color. I want to play more of this game but its getting really hard when the reward for things you do is less than the effort you put towards it. Im just wondering if anyone else feels the same

I only skim read the post but I totally agree. I just post how rubbish the story is at the end. Not re buying this on the new consoles unless there are significant changes to everything.

The Guns not doing more base damage is a fair enough gripe. If that's what you were expecting but didn't get then that's unfortunate. as for the bonuses I wouldn't say they were useless, it's more a case of finding synergy bonuses that work well with your gun, your Ego Perks and your play style.
Many guns give other bonuses such as additional critical damage or a faster reload and again if you have the right perks these can really stack up to improve the damage you do.

From a multiplayer perspective there are a lot of issues which still need sorted so I'd say you are well within your rights to be annoyed. PvP isn't really why I got this game but I would like to see the issues addressed as I do enjoy playing with and against other players.

The game has it's issues but I don't think it is as bad as everyone makes out. Bear in mind that the devs are working to fix things. It might just take a bit longer than expected because they have to activate new content to coincide with the TV show, which in turn could have bugs which need attention.

I wouldn't give up on the game right away. And if you did decide to (should note that I'm not saying you are) you have the game and there is no subsrciption fee so you can always leave and come back when the issues are resolved to your satisfaction.

The game just launched two weeks ago. Do you know how many issues World of Warcraft had in it's first 2 weeks (or months, or years...)? Not to mention just about every other MMO on the market? Give it some time, and the devs will hash everything out. Trion is really good about prioritizing what needs to be fixed first. It's called triage. Some things that may seem like a big issue to you, are not a big issue to the game stability, community, other other aspects.

Trion will fix things, but in an order that makes sense from the entirety of the game, not just from you're viewpoint. I know it seems like it sucks, but that's how it works.

I still struggle to understand if I put a scope on a weapon to take the scope of I either destroy the gun or the scope . I can hack, disable generators even fix pipe work at a dam but I'm a total idiot when it comes to removing scopes mags and stuff from weapons

I know right you can disarm an atomic bomb but you cant take 4 screws out of a sight without fking a gun up ...

Look he wasn't whining(like I see alot in these forums) but making a legit gripe about what the game is and what his expectations were. The game has a lot to fix and alot more to answer for, and saying "oh but wow had the same problems that this game did" is not a valid agrument by any means. Look at how big the world is, all the things you can do in wow, and how much CONTENT was availble when it first launched. This game doesn't have half the content that wow did back then(not saying defiance is a bad game it just feels a bit lazy). Honestly I got on here for the social aspects and they just aren't there, as for the combat shooting bullet sponge crystals get old for me after a while. Basically dude just wanted to vent about the game lacking in area that are pretty much standard fare for any basic mmo(character progression, weapon progression, and fluff).

Yeah it seems lazy I also feel if the money was used on one platform it would be better. Probs why mmo's aren't seen much on consoles .

i wouldnt really care if it was like this is they didnt have a beta because it would have been totally understandable... but seeing as that is not the case i am kinda upset... especially when the beta for defiance was initially supposed to be 2 days and how messed up would the game really would have been if that went through. Also how are you even able to say that Trion is good at prioritizing when nothing has been done yet...
