Patch notes said they were adding map locations and info in with this patch. Sorely disappointed if their version of "map locations" is hovering over a fast travel, vendor, hotshot, or time trial and it simply saying "Mount Tam" or "Marin" in the upper left corner.
C'mon trion, after the quality of the map in Rift, I'm seriously disappointed that in this future earth, people forgot how to put in city/county lines and point of interest names on the map itself.
That "hovering" thing was already there before.
I've noticed no difference in the map from launch until now.
i would love if theyd add the locations, kinda like skyrim, fallout 3 etc etc...it would make it just a bit easier to find places, not so much to fast travel, but just to know where these dang places are
I was excited after readnig the patch notes only to notice no change in the map. Very dissapointing because I was looking forward to an easier to use map.
I don't see a difference in the map either, i was hoping for more detailed locations
Add " Defiance FL" to find pleople from the Defiance and Xbox 360 forums to play with
Defiance's map must be the worst map in the history of videogames, is literally useless, congrats...
lol, I completely agree. The contracts are hard to complete because of the horrid map! one moment you are in that area completing the contract and the next (not even 20 meters away) it doesn't count toward the contract. The areas should be outlined better....Originally Posted by MadTheDog

Why would they even put it in the patch notes if they had no intention of changing anything? Along with many other things in their notes that never came to fruition...
Maybe the installed the wrong patch version. That could also be the reason for the unexpected problems yesterday. Maybe it's an old build which doesn't have the map optimization
