    Defiance Pilot: Strange Creatures?

So i know alot of people had questions about the strange creatures from the woods scene in the new episode of defiance. Some people have speculated hellbugs... but i just wanted to point out that the side mission in the game Scorched Earth makes a reference - the damn rats were howling like Sabre-Wolves..... Sabre-Wolves??? This seems like a likely explanation. Thoughts anyone?

They move like a pack of buffalos though, so I find the name kinda odd.

I would name them Buffalots! -.-

pretty sure its "confirmed" trough wiki they are infact saberwolves, what ever the hell that is.

    They're called saber wolves.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

What he said. At least, that's what the actors refer to them as in interviews.

WHAT?! I totally missed both the in-game and in-show references. I thought it was just one of many of the newly terraformed creatures. I was think it was half hellbug-half something else.

    They are spider-bear-wolves.

Also has anyone seen those alien killer robots in the game? The ones from the big battle at the end

It was originally designed it to be like a six legged bear, but the physics of how the animal would walk were giving them issues, so they redesigned it to be like an insect. The limitations with the engine and how outfits are rendered is also responsible for the attire in the show.

NO, they don't look anything like hell bugs, and weren't referenced as hell bugs.
