That's not true at all. Whites are just as good as Oranges.

Only slight bonuses and synergy are what separate them. The type of weapon it is will ultimately determine how useful it is to you, not it's rarity.

so higher levels have been telling me to discard or sell my weapons that have full xp bars. reason being that once weapon xp full it stops contributing to the overall skill rating of that particular weapon class

    That's correct.

Unless you really like the weapon, then you should hold onto it. After your weapon skill maxes out, you may wish to come back to it. But it's ultimately up to you.

i understand what people are saying but why discard a favorite weapon. i say keep it set it aside for when u want to use it. and then on side u can have other of the same type of weapon to use and level up the skill rating for that class of weapon

I break down everything once maxed. Sorry but I'm at Ego 500 and most weapons are close enough with slight differences and hell, I'm still using 2 Tam store bought LMG's as my weapons (using Scavenger/Preparedness awesomeness). Nothing says you can't keep your maxed weapons though.

Uber-Ego people who are exposed to much more Synergy and have the resources might keep a maxed out weapon because it's got a full Synergy attachment set and they are already maxed (or close to maxing out) a weapon type skill.

Because a weapon maxed out compared to a weapon that is not really shows no difference... Unless you speaking only towards a weapon with mod slots and anyergies you have mods for...

Weapons don't gain magical DMG when maxed out so it simply just takes up space, it's not like they have unique names or anything like that...

You misunderstand. He means if you maxed a gun out but really like it, just hold on to it and use it once you max out the total weapon skill. See? You don't have to sell it.
