Probably one of the worst guns in game, fires to fast and does to little damage, but it does look "different" looks made out of plastic to me.

Wrong. It has a high fire rate to compensate for the reduced damage. Personally I prefer the Votan Blast rifle over the Mazu because I'm a spray and pray guy but Ive been noticing the Mazu variant more since I dinged 1k ego
It would be fine if ammo wasn't hard to come by in most circumstances, which makes the gun useless in nearly every arkfall.

VOT Mazu and Votan Blast Rifle both need to be buffed and brought in line with the other ARs, IMO.
Blast Rifle > Mazu, again IMO. It fires 3 rounds per trigger pull (only costs 1 round to shoot 3), though it's damage is weak @ 40/round. The upside is you can hip-fire this bad boy while running and still hit your target, unlike pretty much every other AR in the game. The regular Blast Rifle is white/orange while the Mazu is gold/grey, just FYI if you have trouble telling them apart.
Problem is, the high fire rate still doesn't quite make up the reduced damage (DMG x ROF = DPS [not inc. reload time]). Blast Rifle is better for running and gunning though, even with the weaker damage, as your hit % will be WAY higher. They both need a damage buff though, IMO. Their crit multi's are weaksauce, too. Still <3 the Blast Rifle regardless, just wish it was a smidge better.
The higher fire rate only does so much, it still only does 170 damage per shot, (or 40x3, which is 120 per shot) because other rifles just do significantly more with not that much slower fire rates, as well as other weapons having a LOT more crit modifiers, the guns are still fun to use, but they really need a damage increases.
