The RPG part just refers to role playing. Everything else that defines MMO is not something which becomes less relevant only because you attach shooter to it.

So what ever features he thinks are lacking in Defiance as a MMO shouldn't be just shrugged off only because it is not an MMORPG.

Id say, as far as PC it probably is a "less-then-par" MMO. But you have to understand, this has never been done on Console, so its something new, and rather infantile in the way of MMO's development on such. Far as I know, its NEVER BEEN DONE. So, for now* im cutting the bugs/glitches some slack.

I agree on cars, they are pretty bad, and never really liked em from the start. Along with this I'd add, probably not enough Fast Travel spots either. Sniping is not my thing, im a run-and-gunner, so i wont comment there, but that may lead to the next point on NPC's... When i get heavy into the mobs, they love targeting me, so i see no issue with how they act. They target and shoot, like i do. No issue there for me.

There is names on the Map, it changes in the top-left corner as you scroll around. And theres only5 places to remember, you should have that memorized in about 5 minutes.

No competition? Theres 6v6, 8v8, and Shadow War PVP. Ill let someone else argue those points though, im not a PVP'er.

Leaderboard/Ranks are glitched by Cluster Grenades. Simply take them off, and you'll be ranked next time.

Why is that surprising? They spent $60 or more on the game and they are upset that from their perspective they wasted their money. They may also wish to be heard in the hope that the game is improved. It is more surprising that the "I love the game!" people spend so much time on the forum attacking anyone who voices criticism instead of, you know, playing the game. (Yes, I know, they work 24h a day and post from work.)



I'm pretty sure Trion does care. It's feedback from customers, and it's more valuable than posts like yours that are really just trolling and fueling the flames. I enjoy the game and I have fun with it, in spite of its flaws and need for improvements, but I find the white knighting here embarrassing and it turns me off of the game far more than someone who expresses their dissatisfaction. I guess I just dislike brown nosery and aggressive apologists.

If you pay for his game, you can tell him to go and play something else. Since you don't, you'll just have to endure his opinions, like everyone else has to endure your attitude.

Ive gotten alot more play from this game then i did from the new bioshock. I dont feel robbed and and truth is i love the groundwork for the game so much i cant wait to see where they go with it. Im not sure what scale you guys are using to judge your moneys worth. Bioshock came to mind cause it was the last game i played and i had it beat in about 11hrs played. That game will probably win awards and id still take this game over that 10x over. All personal opinion/preference i guess.

15mbps connection from comcast, played on wifi near the edge of its range. No issues with lag(occasional enemy spasm here or there but my bullets hit where they were put.)

Interesting ,.. i don't force anyone to read it and yes i paid 60 Euro to play ,..for a game that isn't even worth 30.
and no its not start-up problems half the people will never get there promised content ,things that where fine go haywire after they implement a patch to solve bugs ,..come on this is going to take ages and they know it .
