For now, you can try to use Autohotkey until they fix it and that 5 click salvaging.
Well I use enter mostly with mouse stuck on position of the "Yes" for faster salvaging. The amount of clicks or presses is okay imo, just having to do it on every single item again and again is bit much.

I did, but was confused as to why DeMoted even mentioned 2 guns (the topic was about switching between loadouts). I think I must still be misunderstanding, as having 2 equippable guns/weapons is pretty standard shooter fare...

Someone clear this up for me.

I pretty much only use loadouts to keep my EGO powers and perks organized. Especially since so many perks are tied to a specific ego power. So, now I have one load out for each of the 4 ego powers. I usually swap out my weapons on the fly, depending on the situation.

Since you're saying "L" I'm guessing you're on the PC.

Change the loadout/character sheet screen button to something easier to find. I have mine set to Tab.

I can switch loadouts mid-combat against everything except Dark Matter. For them I just cloak or duck behind cover.

Folk are talking about macros. I just click the number loadout I want.

If you have a Logitech keyboard and/or mouse, you can also make a macro and attach it to a key. I have it macroed to the "forward" thumb button on my G500 mouse, and my vehicle is hotkeyed to the "back" thumb button. I also changed the boost and handbrake to the left and right mouse buttons.

The macro I used was L^^^>L (L, up, up, up, right, L) That way, no matter where the "cursor" happens to be when you hit L, it goes all the way to the top.

Actually if you read the whole thing she wants more weapon slots unlocked instead of loadouts. See I read everything.

I have a Logitech g310 gaming mouse, how would I go about making this macro for easier loadout switching?

It wasn't standard fare until console shooters came along. PC shooters had up to 10 different weapons a player could swap to at any time. Consoles had to lower that amount because the controllers limited how many keys could be bound.
