Good budget chat mic needed for Defiance

Anybody recommend one? I get the feeling I'm really going to need it! Got Turtle Beach PX5's that are great for sound but the mic has always been poor. Just need a cheap mic that actually works under pressure.

I find cheaper is not always a good thing, it may work in the short term but long term it will crap out. Best bet is to go big and buy something high end, me personally I bought Turtle Beach XP500 for $350 and not only is the sound quality great but the mic is amazing, and they are durable to, I have a dog (lab) who chewed on them and they still work fine with no problem and they are completely wirelss (no wire to plug in the controller)

You are right. Only problem is that the XP500 is basically the same as the PX5 which must mean that my mic issues are down to bad luck. I get so much echo from it and other people find my chat to be very quiet. I'll try some more trouble shooting as it would be a shame not to use a decent set.

I'd have to agree with this. I recently picked up the xp400's and love em. No wires, no batteries, no fuss. Takes about 1:30-2:00 hours to charge and they last about 15-20 hours straight. Sound quality is great and no chat problems what so ever. Range of the wireless is great as well, don't even need to take em off to go to the toilet, lol.
