Skyrim and Defiance both have the problem of "what do you do with your powerful loot", but people say "Skyrim isn't about the end-game, it is about the journey", but somehow that isn't applicable to Defiance.
Pretty hypocritical. Does this game have its issues? Hell yes. Many of them. But does the game really deserve a 6, when Skyrim was getting 10s? That's why numeral scores are a joke in my opinion. You can't sum everything up and say "That's how good it is". I prefer to read the words of the reviews, although I'll admit sometimes I've checked metacritic to get the jist of people's opinions if I've read the reviews and watched some gameplay videos but I'm not sure whether I'd like to get on board.
In my opinion, I'm enjoying the game. I wouldn't recommend the game for everyone at all - I told my dad not to get the game because if you don't like shooter combat, you won't like the game, but I've recommended it to co-workers who were into sci-fi shooters, and many of them enjoy the game now.
