Players rapidly decreasing?

You wonder why , when there are so many little wimpy whiners around paying games now.
They want everything now and perfect.
NO GAME WILL EVER BE ENOUGH NOW.
Too many little console kiddies playing on big boy games and it shows with the forums.
Seriously, the river crying on these forums about such petty things is ridiculous.
I read a post yesterday moaning about the colour of the cars.
Im hoping all the better people, the more mature gamers stay away from these forums tbh.
I come here for advice about in game events etc, but all I see are spoiled little children wanting everything fast and perfect.
Its a shame as Trion have done an amazing thing here on console.....something even Blizzard did not achieve.
I say Thank You Trion.
As for you little *****es , please go away back to CoD and GTA pretty please.

I love the game itself, but some of the stuff they are doing to it is just killing it for me, and many others. I regret the purchase, waste of 130 bucks. How disappointing.

I love the game and think people are silly if they quit in the first few mounths. All the great MMO RPG's
Had and still have teething problems.... People expect too much too fast they just need to iron out the creases.

Me and five of my friends started playing together, after two days only two of us were left, now its just me. We all bought the collectors edition as well lol so trion prob wont care they still arn't playing. Funny thing is none of them left due to bugs or problems with the game, we all thought it was going to be a game we can play together to accomplish goals and then from videos we had watched it looked like there was going to be "raiding" content and from the movie about the thousand different types of guns we expected item progression. None of that is in the game so they all left, i am enjoying the game and i understand the progression system in game and kind of enjoy it, its something different.I do think though that if it had a lot more gear progression they probably could of reached a broader audience as people are fickle and want to get the next big shinny.

I started playing with like, 4 / 5 of us and now there's only 1 playing....games fun and all...but there's just nothing to do on it, grinding just seems pointless when all gear is the same >.<

I see a lot of people on the PC EU side around when I do play. Personally, I'm waiting on the new Species because It's completely pointless to play right now because I will have to start over anyways. I've only been doing the episode pursuits and little else.

EDIT: On a related note, could we PLEASE get info on the upcoming new playable species? If it's not Castithan, I would really, really like to now.

As I see it, there are two major reasons that there are fewer people on-line at any given time now as there were during the first week.

1) Some people have found that this game isn't right for them and have stopped playing. Not too surprising, no game is right for everyone. Typically in MMOs only ~30% of the buyers are still playing after a few days.

2) People play fewer hours per day/week after the initial launch frenzy. For me personally, I was in-game ~ four hours/day the first week. Now, I'm taking it much more leisurely, one to two hours/day.

In a game like this, there will be player churn. It's up to Trion to ensure that there are replacement players arriving every day. I think they are doing well in that area. VGChartz show the game is selling very well. Now that the TV show has launched that will attract many new players.
