defiance : pc : steam : patcher gets Almost done and restarts

patching almost finishes then restarts/begins again. I've been trying to patch for the last 2 1/2 hours tonight on top of an hour from last night.

I'm running as administrator / I unplugged both my router and modem / I haven't modified the temp and tmp paths / I do have comcast but I have a direct hardline cable into the router from my PC / I'm considering just deleting local content (steam) and "reinstalling" (steam once again) / looking into the patcher log

just now the patcher had 28 seconds to go at 80 to 100 or so Mbps then it just began all over again.

.... starting / skipping already downloaded ...

Solution : deleted local content (steam copy) ,, re-installed ,, looks like it works now. why I needed to delete the game and reinstall it ... /shrug.

Go to the Defiance web site and Download the actual game installer. I was having problems with the game not working correctly when using steam, I reinstalled with the real installer and everything worked just fine.
