If you have damage meters on you will notice you still do damage to a crystal without skitterlings "weak spots" they just make it quicker... So people always raging about not killing them it means ****ako if there are several people at the event... Quite often if there are LOTS of people or I'm on my own I will whack out the Hydra and bomb the hell out of them that's why I'll end up with over 250 kills on the leaderboard when most only have 10+
Can you? Yes, but its not the intended or smartest way to do it.
The challange is not get people to leave the skits alone, there is nothing you can do if other players decide to troll and kill them all. I failed how? name the method in which you get players like this to stop. LOL
Obviously you don't know simple crystal destruction and how it works. Also by looking at your post history most of it is unproductive serving only to aggravate with little or no supporting evidence.
Was just trying to warn others with good intention, not explain redundant things you should have learned from day 1.
Actually, going for weakspots is not always the optimal solution anyway. When you've blastpods firing at you and a monarch rampaging around, and too few people to distract them, the best option then is to just lay waste with the highest white DPS weapon you have while strafing. Waiting for a skitterling to open up a spot, manoeuvring to said spot, while trying to dodge everything and hoping a bug doesn't block your view, takes way too long.
As far as I can tell your first msg to the player was "reported", honestly, with that kinda behaviour even I would be tempted to "troll" you.
Sure, some people cannot be reasoned with, however a big majority can, and those few times you run into one, you need to accept that, what he did, did not keep you from finishing the arkfall, it only slowed you down, and there are legitemate reasons for killing those skitters.
Fairly sure I am more familiar with arkfalls and how they work then you buddy boy, I have 2 chars at 1600-2k ego, both of which got the Legendary arkhunter title (without "griefing" skitters).
My posts are mainly ment to "aggravate" ? feel free to drag out some examples of that, cause I am fairly sure you managed to stumble into someone elses posts if thats what you are seeing.
Good intentions? you do realise the chance of someone else running into this guy right? and you do realise knowing about him changes nothing.
All you were trying to accomplish was to shine a bad light on a player you disagree with, and I suppose you sucsedded, but you equally managed to shine a bad light on yourself.
Your intention was to publicly smear another player for not subscribing to an identical way of playing that you do. At no time is driving over skitterlings "trolling", or even "griefing". All you managed to accomplish in your public shaming is breaking the Code of Conduct. Congrats on spamming customer service with time-wasting, and false reports of "griefing".
Good luck forcing your way of playing on everyone else.
@ Lyokira: Agreed, when these circumstances present that is indeed the best way. However, i never mentioned ONLY hitting weak spots. Of course you can do white dmg while waiting for one to present itself.
When you have people driving around killing them from the get go on purpose, its a different story.
You should have told him he won't rank roller if he's driving a runner.
Griefing is bad and should be punished with bad time by Trion.
And so is namecalling.
Actually for a major event with too few people time will run out if you can't exploit the bonus damage from skitterling bites.
It's because of how scaling with player numbers work. A dozen people at an Arkfall already means that everyone is better off taking out their highest dps gun and blasting the crystal directly. This would take ages with only 3 though.
Maybe try the obvious solution: Kill the pods and monarch, then refocus your effort on the crystal.
