" Rather than the addictive, "Where did the day go?" sort of experience I had when I started out my adventures in World of Warcraft and Star Wars: The Old Republic"

    then

" the vast intervening stretches are filled with some of the dullest and most repetitious quest design I’ve experienced in an MMO"

    then

"It’s really a shame that the encounters aren’t more fun, too, because it would have helped make it easier to look past the side quests, which range from mediocre to awful. Most boil down to the most derivative sort of fetching – find and activate three generators, locate three clues, kill 10 enemies... the stuff MMOs are frequently made fun of for."

I LOL'ed. "Game is bad because it has the same type of stuff to do that my 2 favorite games are also almost entirely made up of!" /smh

Very misleading review in my opinion.

I take IGN with a pinch of salt. They're usually way off but sometimes right. This time they're way off.

    7/10 at the minimum.

I stop listening to IGN after they gave Modern Warfare 3 a 9.0, it's one of the worst games I've ever played

Not sure how many times this IGN review is going to pop up and if it's same guy making them pop up all the time...

Like most have said before and elsewhere, IGN are *****!

There is a lot of reviews they do, if not paid will review bad.
How hard is that to understand?

Because game companies will pay for good reviews and then people mass buy only to think wtf have a just bought...due to IGN and other magazine hyp!

Understand the marketing crap and try the game via beta or free trials (rental), than someone being paid to review a game.

Have you not heard of people being asked to go into a shop to buy certain things from music, film's, games etc?
So that the sales get hyped up??

I know because I used to do this job.
It's another form of advertisement...xxx person sell's xx amount of copies...= must be good to buy..so people then go and buy thinking it's a good thing.

Called netting in customers via marketing.

Don't believe all the crap coming from IGN etc is all I say.

When Farcry 3 is rated 9, you know there is something wrong. Especially when they say the characters are the strong part of the game. Not cliche at all OFC.
    Also :
"Unpredictable, exciting, and varied enemy encounters"
When you basically repeat always the same thing, take a photo, sneak up, kill everyone while sneaking.
Yeah, because everything else don't reward as much.
