Had plenty of misgivings about this game and doubtful if any of it would turn out any good. From day 1 I have been playing this game from critical errors to the lag but the gameplay makes me keep coming back despite the frustration. The graphics have improved quite a bit since the game started and the lag has improved leaps and bounds. Thanks Trion can't wait for more content

I haven't encountered any game-stopping bugs, everything I've run into quest wise I can reset by logging out. The ui/chat is poor (and that's probably being kind to it) but this is clearly a console to PC port so I expect as much (I found the UI for Tomb Raider and Skyrim to be similarly poor on PC).
I think though that it's the combination of this being a third person shooter and an MMO that's making it as entertaining as it is. Were it not for the co-op/multiplayer parts of the game, this wouldn't be nearly as good as its competition (borderlands, mass effect, fallout 3) but having those (even if poorly done) makes it decent enough IMO. I can totally understand reviewers hating the game though if they compare it strictly to single player or MMO games - it's not as good in solely those things as either genre's typical offerings.

Trion didn't buy enough advertising to pay for good reviews like all the more mainstream games, but Defiance is one of the most fun games that's come out in years IMO, and that's all I need to know even though it's still far from perfect.
