I've seen several controllers that will work for PC with large, flat analog sticks that may make things much easier for you, in many games, not just Defiance.
I'm looking into this, i've asked other gamers with disabilities what devices they use but haven't found one for me yet. Thank you

It doesn't matter how you ignite those little guys. Flamenades, guns with the fire-property (shotguns should work best) and so on should do the trick. There is also a detonator (think he is called "incinerator")which has a description that sounds something like "leaves a patch of fire". This one has a 100% chance to ignite the target on hit. There's also a rocketlauncher like this. Try them out, due to the blast-radius it should be rather easy to hit those little buggers and send them running!

Are you playing EU or US? Also which Egolvl do you have? Maybe I have such a launcher in my inventory, which I'd gladly give to you. (Damn those solo-missions, otherwise I'd make Jackleg Joe kneel before you and apologize for his sins )

Also Trion, shame on you for not helping a woman in need!
Thank you Shag, I appreciate this a lot!

I'm really sorry about your situation OP, but Trion has dramatically changed and really doesn't give a crap about you or your issues as evidenced by that lame generic letter they sent you. Quite sad and tragic really when they fk off their handicapped player base...

Perhaps if you were to approach the media outlets with this type of "treatment," I'm sure Trion would start singing a different toon ESPECIALLY since they are connected with Syfy and well, that channel can't really afford any negative press...

I hear what you're saying. It isnt like im asking for much. Just a hand (haha see what I did there) with a quest in an MMO. MMO is multiplayer and I should be able to ask for help?

    7 hours and still trying.

All the suggestions given so far have been fair and accurate, I have nothing else to add in that regard.
However my recommendation is to try a more traditional game like Fallen Earth?

I fear for you that if this is your first stumbling block, the overall nature of Defiance is eventually going to put you back in this position more and more - until of course you reach the end of the missions.

Maybe playing another game alongside will be relaxing so you have something to play when Defiance is being a pain in the butt.

I understand your line of thought. However, I've already payed and fell in love with the game. I question why I'd have to leave it because of one mission. It would be a sad thing to have to happen just simply because of this.

A lot of people are telling you to use flash grenades to get them to turn around. When I completed this, I used a detonator to lob grenades at the little fire minions. This instantly sets them on fire and should make it easier for you to complete the mission without having to aim at their backs. Once you hit them with a grenade from the detonator, get into a position you can kill the boss. I also recommend killing the elite mob that spawns, and leaving the non-elite mob alone as it won't bother you and no more mobs that shoot guns will spawn.

I was able to complete the mission twice using this method (two separate accounts, my friend could not complete it after several hours as well). I took very little damage and did not have to move much. However, the end of the event can be very difficult as he will come after you.

    Good luck!
