PvP is fine, balancing PvE around PvP is not. If they continue to do so they will probably drive away some of the playerbase.

you and your friends are in the minority. and i would have no problem with that, except the pve caters to the pvp.

This.. i want the game to be succesful.. but it shouldnt be built around pvp given that its sub par. the pve could stand on its own. the pvp would crumble on its own

It's seriously needed to serve either pve or pvp, but you can't do both with the same recipe. For example these shotguns. Mobs don't start crying if they're being one-shot from point blank range using stealth to reach these. They compensate the loss of one of their team by having five another. You need to reload your saw-off gun still. Mobs don't cry if they're locked from far away for infectors.

Only players do. And because they do, then the weapons got nerfed. Yeah, infector is now like melee weapon. But your fists do more damage even without Blur. Shotguns won't work that good either.

So only generic weapons, no innovation and definitely kills requiring multiple shots.

Why do you think Halo, CoD, BF games do so well.[/QUO

because my guns from the call of duty campaign don't Cary over to multiplayer.
in defiance the guns you earn cary over to pvp. so the guns cant be "over balanced" which hinders the pve.
pvp caters to a minority in most games. aside from those listed above. ex. assassins creed, mass effect, dead space. ect. and i would put defiance into that category. so why adjust the core of the game to favor pvp?
It's a good thing that your guns from CoD single player don't carry over to PvP because they would be useless.

I agree with the OP to a certain degree, PvP has caused some problems in the PvE environment specially when its so lopsided with cloaker+shottie users all over the place and if you go in there with an AR/Sniper+Decoy your **** out of luck but im expecting this will be fixed and then i will bother with PvP.
