OP it is really going to depend on yourself. Many problems in this game but it still is playable. Depending on your mental makeup the game can make you think it is awesome with so much to do, or you can think wow I am doing the exact same thing over and over for a chance at a lockbox that has weapons that are mostly the same.

That doesn't speak as much volume as you think it does. Been playing Rift since Beta 3 and the community there has taken a nose dive, it's a very entitled and snobbish community at the moment.

I've been with Rift since the beginning as well and you know as well as I do that the quality of that game has gone COMPLETELY in the crapper. Started with patch 1.7 and has gone downhill ever since. Then with the Storm Legion debacle, which was a complete copy of EI (Ember Isle), people are pissed over there to say the least.

The game does have bugs and patience will see it through. I respect everyone's opinion, and want to say that the game is fun. Taking time to do the persuits and exploring the world (data recorders, emergencies) is fun.

I have 60+ hours. Loving it. I'm an MMO Nut and a super gamer, and totally recommend the game. 60.00 is a great price. More content is coming too, and I'm at 60+ hours atm.

I haven't played Rift for a few months. The PUGs for SL got horrible, I played the new content and enjoyed the Lore, so i wasn't jumping into the new Instances right away, I used to tank the bajeezus out of the old dungeons and loved it. The openness of the Instances like Caduceus Rise, Realm of the Fae, very open and wonderfully crafted dungeons. SL dungeons, all felt the same. When I started tanking the new dungeons, PUGs were basically *******s cause I didn't know the fights yet. Meh. Tiny little boss arena's. The grind was horrible in SL, it was more veiled than typically MMO grind, but Hunt Rifts and Carnage Quests...grindage.
