Herein lies your problem. For every person that says they can't play it, there are people that are saying they can(myself included.) You don't care what other MMO's have done but you fail to understand that Defiance is based off of their work. This isn't about rolling over and taking it. It's about having the common sense to understand fixing things takes time and doesn't happen overnight. Just because things aren't being fixed at the speed you would like doesn't mean they aren't being addressed.

Why do you think the playerbase is rapidly declining? Maybe since you're used to this kind of treatment it isn't a big deal to you but at this rate I see MMOs dying off in the near future. Of course solid MMOs will still hold true but anything after that will be doomed.
I would love to see where you're basing the playerbase declining comment from. I think this forum alone would show that there are plenty of people playing. It's not that I'm used to having this "kind of treatment." It's that I'm intelligent enough to realize that a brand new released MMO is going to have issues. I expected them. You, however, expected Trion Worlds to do something no other developer has ever done. And that's releasing a bug/glitch free MMO. Let me know how that works out for you.

Trion's consistency is what worries me, not the game itself. When they can't even fix something without creating a whole other set of major problems then that shows their inability as developers. People are eventually going to get tired of all the long term problems and drop this game. By far the most broken/unfinished game I've ever played (besides a few I don't care to mention).
You are literally basing your entire stance off the first update. You're citing long term problems in a game that has only been online for two weeks. Let's bold that. Two weeks. My sincere advice to you is this. Quit. You're obviously disgusted with the game and everything about it. You steadfastly refuse to acknowledge or understand even the basic elements of programming. You have disturbingly high expectations and are crying when a game doesn't meet them.

After all the testing they did and the beta, some of these problems should have been found in time for a fix to be out a few days after launch, yet here we are with people still unable to play.
This is exactly the point I'm trying to make but I suppose I have to be blunt because nobody is understanding what I'm trying to say. I don't expect perfection but I do expect something that functions. I overlooked the bugs because the game was new but now that it's aging and absolutely nothing is being fixed I question Trion's talents as developers. There's a difference between perfection and garbage. IMO Trion as a developer is below par.

If you want to charge full price for something and start on top of the food chain then expect a lot of ******** when the game comes out that's not to everyone's standards. If that's the general mentality then maybe the game shouldn't have been released on consoles at all.
Honestly man I'm not going to respond to you at this point. You've got your head so far up your *** there is no way I can dumb this down any further for you. Based on your expectations I wish you luck in finding a game that doesn't disappoint you.

If wanting this game to function properly is your idea of "disturbingly high expectations" then I have no idea what your expectations are. At the full price of a current gen game I expect the thing to work properly, regardless of genre. I understand things take time and I'm actually being patient with the patching process but with all the stuff I've seen and experienced I can't help but feel a little cheated out of my money. I can't help it being as I'm only human and worked hard for my money. I'm not looking at this as an MMO. I'm looking at it like a product I spent my hard earned money on.

I kept it civil and don't appreciate that comment. If you want to make that kind of judgement I'll say this. You seem immature and have a blind loyalty to this game and others in the genre. You disregard facts and bring up irrelevant points (other MMOs) when I'm talking about Defiance. If someone pays for anything in life and it doesn't work to a certain standard then that'd be considered broken. Sure the game functions to a certain extent but not at the price they charged for it. Maybe if it were $30 I wouldn't complain but for a $60 game I'd expect it to function like a $60 game. You seem like the type of person that takes **** from people and doesn't speak up. Tough guy on the internet, lets see you thrive in the real world with that mentality. Get a life pal and I too am not going to respond to your posts anymore. I do however wish you luck and I appreciate your effort to try and educate me on what you think is right. Take care

Sorry the big mean forum person made a mildly insulting comment. I didn't realize it was your first time on the internet. Good lord lol. Let's be real dude, you'd be complaining if you got this game for free.

Many customers disagree about this (and every) game. One will say it's unplayable. Another will say it plays fine. One will say it's full of GAME BREAKING bugs. Another will say I have no game breaking bugs. So riddle me this, if the customers hold very different opinions how can ALL the customers be right?
