I HATE them.. I can deal w/ every other faction but something about these guys... Probably the fact they throw their fire bombs with pin pint accuracy, only faction that has actual shields, and dam do they skip all over the place.
Makes it even worse since I just got into act 4 maybe 3-4 missions done and once again we are fighting raiders like in act 2. These guys are the scum of the earth and yeah, you can kill 7-8 of them with 1 mag of LMG ammo but they just piss me off...

Wow... Guess it just went right over your head. Maybe the fact that each achievement for completing missions in an area are called act 1,2,3, and 4... Obviously it's not the same as diablo but an act in a game just doesn't simply revolve around diablo lol.

Yeah the first part of the game(Mount Tam)is Act I. Madera is Act II. Marin Act III. Sausalito Act IV and finally San Francisco is Act V. But yeah I do agree with you, Unsent Soul. The Raiders are the most annoying enemy of the game. I hate the ones who carry a shield the most...

I can't stand the sneaky flamethrowing 99ers and the scrapper mongrels. Flat annoying.....
The only mobs I have seen with shields are the 99ers and Dark Matter. What raiders are you fighting with shields?

Yeah, thanks for the clarification for some people on acts lol. Granted raiders don't have shields ontop of hp but they deffinitly don't lack in numbers.

"Actual shields" not "space shields" lol...the little fat, short, long haired bastards with shotguns and a shield...can't think of another word for shield...

I would call it a riot shield. They are the main reason I came to love the detonators, especially the fire ones. I think it is hilarious to set them on fire and watch them squirm.
I used to hate shield guys, but when you melee them they stagger and lose cover. Then, double-tap their little heads. Takes 'em out in 2 seconds.
