That first race in SF is a pain due to that very emergency. Its on about a 1 min timer so clearing it is pretty useless. What you have to do is touch the left side of that arc that is in front of the truck and then immediately turn towards the junk heap and try to maintain speed. Once you get that down the rest ofthat trial is pretty easy.
I actually ended up beating it, but it wasn't something I'm proud of. I hit something (it was invisible) on both laps and it just shot me forward through the far arch.

Now that I've got the charger I also feel I should say, why isn't that the fastest vehicle you can get? Doesn't have to be by much, but it should be something that feels more rewarding than just a new color.
