Not everyone is going to be at your level of comfortability with this game's difficulty. For every person who thinks that it's too easy, there is someone who is going to be struggling.
If you want to make it more difficult for yourself:
- Use lower DPS Weapons.
- Select sub-optimal perks that are conditional and cater to specific playstyles.
- Use powers that don't increase survivability and damage.
Difficulty in this game is a direct reflection of what you're using. The AI is extremely limited and most of the challenge can be taken away by having higher survivability and damage output.
It's at least something to consider.

Hardcore Mode: When you die, your character really dies. Then you have to make a new character.
And your name shows up in Red so everyone knows your in hardcore mode.

I've been killed multiple times during cutscenes and on fast travel.
So have fun with that.
They have pills for that... But idk it seems fine to me maybe throw in some "impossible" or "hell vs hell" side missions type of deal with some prize for completion.

Yeah, that sounds awful. Having to create an entirely new character whenever you die? Might sound interesting at first, but I'm sure after the second time a random nade takes you out before you hit EGO level 30 it may get old.
You have to be hardcore to step up to hardcore mode.
Great suggestion Pyth. I will find crappier guns and use them and take all perks off. Welcome to hardcore mode. And the only reason it was brought up, was because of the Scrapper Ark fall. I was at 1.2million dmg and second place was at 600k.
So I take it your owning everyone in PvP then as you think this games too easy.?
