Patcher Installing

I bought the game yesterday via Steam, and got the installer running just fine. Now, when running Defiance it needs to update/patch to download all of its content, but it always stalls 2/3 - 3/4 of the way through. It ticks along just fine, then the rate ticks down to 0, and everything is stopped.

I've tried to download/patch the game twice now (once last night overnight, and again this afternoon), and same result. Waiting doesn't resolve the issue.

Thoughts?

Same problem, been trying all day. Totally losing patience now.

Yes i have not been able to Download the patch from start to finish over 22 times now... (was 19 attempts this morning).

Good luck to you they do not care about those who have paid and cannot even get in the game.

Can you guys open the launcher as administrator? That's what I have to do (right mouse click, run as admin). No idea how you do that with steam games, but it solved the problem for me. I also have to turn my firewall to low even though I have all my ports open with DMZ. Lots of issues getting into game but it works for me now.

Fixed it, oddly enough it was my antivirus which has never caused this problem before.

Try setting all your antivirus software off during installation.
