I've played a lot now. And I've seen someone use the chat maybe once. To say "lol" to my remark.

That's it. No one uses it. It's crazy. I don't feel like I'm in an MMO. I feel like I'm in a single player game and occasionally some guy, who could just as well be an NPC, comes to do the same quest as me.

Its hard for console gamers to use the chat channel. First takes a lot of time, 2nd its not to big in the screen, third if you wanna see it bigger the chat window will block the whole screen well almost. 4th cant chat, well its not that you cant, but its stupid to chat while shooting enemies. The "emotes" too is so limited, there definition of greet is same with the definition of praise.

No one is using chat, because its Shtako! Most clans have their voice servers and that's how people communicate. Ingame system is really horrible

I have to go in and mute the voice / mic everytime I load the game. Kinda annoying.

And us PC users have the same c.r.a.p.p.y. chat options is well, which was just plain lazy

I mean, I know they had limited time, but to put out an MMO on a PC with a console based social system they didn't expect anyone to use, with a poor voice chat without the option to que to talk was just...I dunno, jekkin bananas!

It's on by default apparently.

There is no push to talk, it's if you have a microphone it's broadcasting it unless you disable it.

Soooo now that I just found this out people have probably heard me yelling at my kid and various other things. And I sort of feel bad for it. I did disable voice chat so I hope that make it go away .__.;

Anyone else have voice chat muted on all channels and still hear people? I have to turn the mute off and then back on to actually mute it.

My wife has had this problem. I'm pretty certain it has to do with their patching. Mine, oddly enough, hasn't done this at all. It's stayed off.
