PSA: There are no side missions when replaying the story line and the rewards are ran

I have mostly gotten green loot with some blues now and then. I'm curious if these Random Gear Chests have a chance to "drop" purple or orange. If you've received a purples or oranges while repeating the story line please let me know. Also let me know if you get mods, I've only seen shields, nades and weapons so far.

I wish you had written this just a few hours earlier! I confirm all side missions are gone which is a real bummer as I never finished them all the first time! I'm 6 missions in on the replay and they are not there.

Good thing I finished all side quests before redoing the story again. Which was the reason I re did the story mode in the first place. Got bored with no missions. DLC please

Someone was asking about the missions a few days ago, I could of sworn someone said that only missions you haven't completed "at all/the first time" must be unlocked again via the main mission upon replaying your main missions.

I had to search for this answer, and thought I would bump it for newer people. Side missions apparently do not reset.

It's a shame really. The side missions were the majority of the content. While I know you can go to the areas and still complete similar missions, I liked the direction the side missions provided.

Yep, no side mission and the same crap for the rewards. They really should at leat give us our side missions back to give us something to do and at the very least, double the amount of XP you earn the second time around.

Im running the main missions for the third time, this time using weapons I didn't use the last time around and leveling them. I do alot of emergencies and stuff in between main missions too. Occasionally I get good stuff from the random chests.

If you didn't finish the side missions you'll still be able to, but they won't appear until you progress through the main story.
