Honestly, I for one and probably most will simply not remember names except if they read a really stupid/idiotic/hateful comment or see a stupid/idiotic/funny name or avatar. Especially on the official forums for a mmorpg there are simply too many posters. I have 3 times your post count and yet I'm pretty sure almost nobody knows my name neither and a lot of those posts got ignored too.
There are a ton of girls on here though so I figured that if anything it would be something that got me ignored over something attracting attention.
That happened to me when I had started up a Night Elf Priestess in WoW. Random flight into Stormwind to do some training, immediately propositioned by a player as a stripper.
People are weird about digital boobs.
There's a lot of drama on the forums right now. A lot of open nerves because we're just getting out of launch week, and like all MMOs, the first month or 2 is going to be a lot of anger and rage. I tend to go with the duck and cover route for awhile until things calm down a bit.
Most of the psychotic behavior will (hopefully) go away after Trion issues a few more patches and communicates to the community their vision and plan on achieving that vision, of course this will cause tension to spike for a few more weeks....oh hell, welcome to the forums, where insanity prevails, everyone's a troll and has a dead clown in their closet.
My only suggestion is to grow a thick skin, because you're going to get flamed regardless of your opinion. Enjoy the sane posts and ignore the nutjobs.
