GIRL
Guy In Real Life
![]()
Its a forum...most people are just ***** in forums for the most part. If not most there are always a couple to make it seem that way lol. And being a girl will only get you more attention, not ignored lol, its the internet and your a girl...its just the way of things :P
Nothing personal against you, boy or girl. Its just most of us are forgettable on this site and once we leave our little pooh on the living room carpet we move on and never return. If the thread is 'Live' we may come back to it but most threads sink down the page list's very quickly into obscurity. Check where this thread is in three days time, it is nothing that reflects on you, so chin up.
I don't expect people to read every post. I make a mental note when I come across particularly intelligent posts and pay attention to who's posting so when I'm skimming through future threads I can take a moment to read what they have written.
I generally put a lot of thought into the things I write and while I don't expect everyone to enjoy it or find it interesting, I hope that at least ONE person does lol.
I will be reading every post that everyone makes in this thread so if you are replying, please don't feel you will be overlooked.
Those were the days. Back when men were men, and girls were men, and cats were men, and bunnies....had pancakes on their heads...
Seriously though, now there are so many girl gamers that I don't understand why some people act like its such a shock to see one playing a game. Sadly there is still a lot of misogyny and chauvinism in the gamer community and I always suggest to all of my girl gamer friends to either stick to a girl gamer friendly board, or if they come to boards like these, never mention their gender. Ever.
In all seriousness, people just don't reply to every single comment from every user and as you said, a lot of people don't read beyond the original post. I can't recall if I've ever quoted you but I have for sure read your comments as I recognise your avatar.
Whether you're a male or female in real life makes no difference, it is the content of what you are posting.
Want a lot of views and replies? Create a topic with a title that people will click on.
"Hi, I'm Kerry!" is getting clicks, because you basically shouted out, "Hey, boobs over here!".
I've created some topics that have really meaningful and useful content in the past that get buried into the archives simply because of a non catchy thread title, then you look at threads with the title "This game sux!"....
