A persons sex should be irrelevant to the topic at hand but lets be honest with ourselves, it matters to everyone. I don't go around flaunting my sex, but I don't feel it is something I should have to hide either.

In social situations I find that because I am a girl, thoughtful insight tends to get written off, more often than not, unless I'm with a group of my girlfriends. I'm simply transferring my experiences in those situations to this message board situation. I'm not sure if that's the right thing to do, and I'm quite possibly over thinking it but eh, its the truth.

As the topic states... HI! I'm Kerry!

I often hang out and post in the general discussion area of the forums and I noticed something. I figured that I could bring it here and either people would be brutally honest, or they simply wouldn't care and this thread would swiftly slip into the abyss.

Keep in mind that this is my first message board experience, so I am rather ignorant to the social norms contained within. One thing I do however notice is that after I post something I am often ignored. Now this could be due to the fact that I'm a girl, or most people don't bother to read through a thread any further than the first page.

What I wanted to ask was, those of you that have seen me, am I doing something wrong to push people away or possibly alienate myself? I mean, usually the active poster gets flamed once and a while and I cant remember anyone ever throwing a flame on me!

Anyway, please chime in, or continue ignoring me, either way I'm fine, but if I'm doing something wrong, clue me in!
