It is. Besides, recent surveys indicate that women are spending nearly as equal amount on gaming industry as men do. 60-40 (roughly) men still hold the lead, though. So, finding females on gaming forums isn't unprecendented or even exceptional.

Maybe... I'd like a source on that BUT surely there are less women in the world than men already. It's not going to be 50/50 then how many of them have access to a computer THEN how many of them are even into gaming in relation to men?

I think that depends on the woman and how they perceive the change in behavior as far as they are being treated. Some may enjoy it, some may resent it, some may not know how to deal with it. I can't speak for that perspective as I'm not a woman, I only know female friends that have discussed the issue with me once they were 'out' so to speak to their community/guild/etc as being female.

"Enjoy"ing it to me would be as ignorant if not more divisive and exploitative. I'm not saying guys are stupid... just.. you know... like those let's play girls who make thousands in donations. The whole thing makes me feel really uneasy.
