EGO powers and the Tree

Right my question is this:

From looking at the EGO tree over at http://defiance-central.com/ego-calculator/ your potentially able to reach over to another EGO power. With that said, how will that you be able to use two different powers, if at all?
Secondly a small worry is that the actual size of the tree layouts and potential upgrades may be to small/ not varied enough to suffice diverse builds that separate players, creating distinct builds. I know that you get a single point towards your EGO for every 10 Ranks/ levels achieved, but that will just prolong the build time towards your favoured outlet of damage or support etc.

I do hope someone will be able to shed some light upon these minor questions because I am nearly sold on the game. I just need to find some funds! Haha

You can only actually use 1 active power at a time, with only so many perks at a time also, believe you can use more perks as you get more Ego rating

As far as I know, you cant use two different ego powers, but you CAN have different loadouts to use different powers for your at hand situation. Need to be a bruiser, that deals heavy damage up close? use blur with some lmg/smg for the heavy hitting dmg. Wanna keep back during an instance, and deal dmg silently? Switch to a loadout that has cloak and a sniper rifle, and keep hidden while popping skulls. Or cpu...whatever the case may be.

I don't know how quickly you get them, but I think there are 9 perk slots.

You dont just get an ego point for every 10 levels. its variable on the quest, perks, mission, instances, pvp, time trial, side mission that you complete.

The grid is HUGE!

The calculated Ego score you would need to have everything to max level has been said to be an Ego Score of 5000.

The main story of the game may only get you as far as 600-700.......... numbers varying of course. So you'll have plenty of time completing and hunting for all the different ways to increase your Ego score to not only unlock each skill and perk but to upgrade them as well.

Plus this 5,000 is a soft cap and is by no means the end. They said after dlc and through constant game changes, since defiance is a living game, this 5,000 number can always increase and most likely will.

That worries me, that it will take too long to even be a kitten with claws in the game, much less a monster.

its a tps, your claws will be big *** guns, not what perks you mount.

Well unless you have guns on your vehicles your statement is incorrect - you can get vehicle perks...
